Minnesota-native, Matthew Stenerson has been in the second round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and was the recipient of the FilmNorth/Knight Foundation Screenwriting Residency for his feature script, Faduma & Mike.

He was a winner in the McKnight Screenwriting Fellowship for Death to Prom, and was in the Top 25 Page International Screenwriting Awards for Chaos at the Quinceñera, co-written by Fabian Garcia Alvarado.

He has worked and volunteered for various organizations, including: Walker Art Center, Austin Film Society, South by Southwest Film Festival, and Stanford University..
